​The Members of the Organizing Committee invite participants from all over the world to attend the International Conference and 35th Annual Meet of Indian Academy of Neurosciences (IAN 2017). The Conference, on the topic 'Translational Neurosciences and its Application in Protection of Mental Health' will be held during 29-31 October, 2017 at Ravenshaw University, Cuttack, Odisha, India. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to play host to an international science meet here at Ravenshaw University, Odisha's ancient citadel of higher learning celebrating its 150th year (sesquicentennial) of existence. The main thrust area of the conference is "Transnational Neurosciences and Mental Health" which covers wide range of critically important sessions with scientific discussions.

Mental health has been hidden behind a curtain of stigma and discrimination for too long. It is time to bring it out into the open. The magnitude of suffering and burden in terms of disability and cost for individuals, families and societies is quite staggering. In the last few years, the world has become more aware of this enormous burden. We can make a difference using existing knowledge ready to be applied through this international meet.

This International Conference is going to be a unique forum to bring together distinguished scholars in the field of Neuroscience and Neurology, brain researchers, public health professionals, scientists, academics, industry and planners from all over the globe to exchange about recent research and state of the art technologies.

The proposed Conference aims at providing a multidisciplinary approach to understanding the aetiology of neurological and mental disorders and to stimulate new ideas that would be beneficial for treatment of such disorders and protect mental health.
